The Ayrshire Winter Golf Association (AWGA) has been competing over some of the best courses in Ayrshire since 1963 with a number of outings each winter for PGA professionals and amateurs.
Ayrshire is spoiled for choice when it comes to world class links courses and AWGA members enjoy competing in amateur and professional competitions at venues such as the Portland Course at Royal Troon, venue of the 2016 Open Championship, or Prestwick Golf Club, birthplace of the Open Championship.
Other renowned links venues on the AWGA fixture list include Dundonald Links, 2017 Scottish Open venue, Gailes Links, and Western Gailes, all Open Championship Qualifying venues, plus the picturesque West Kilbride Golf Club.
